About
I'm Andrew. I build things.
AI systems, ESP32 clusters, trading bots, ham radio setups, laser engraved glass, and macro photos of bugs so close up they stop looking like bugs. I grew up an Air Force kid and we moved a lot. My parents figured out early that if they handed me something I would tear it apart, and eventually I started putting things back together on my own. My dad taught me the basics of electronics and gave me the knowledge and the drive to fix and build things. My mom is the kindest, most down to earth person you'll ever meet, and everyone who meets her loves her. I learned so much from both of them, and I respect, appreciate, and love them both from the bottom of my heart. The rest of what I know I taught myself, just by doing.
I'm going to be upfront about the rest, because that's what this site is about, and because I want anyone who finds this place to get a real feel for who I am. The good and the bad. I'm a genuinely caring person and I'll go out of my way to help anyone I see in need. At the same time I'm selfish, I'm an addict, and I'm mentally unwell. Both of those are true at once. I have a troubled past. I've been through some shit I don't put on the internet. I struggle with depression and anhedonia, those long gray stretches where there's no joy and no feeling in anything. I deal with more self hatred than I should, and I'm working on that. I'm in recovery, I'm in therapy, and I don't have some five year plan. Right now I'm getting by one day at a time, and that's the plan.
MythsMind is me sharing things I've made to help myself, or things I made while in that mindset. It's an explorable gothic house where the rooms are the experiences themselves. Shame, avoidance, rumination, grief. The rooms connect the way the experiences actually connect, and underneath it all is a library of over five thousand therapy resources. It looks gothic because I am. I've always been drawn to the dark side of things, and it's not a costume. I built this place for me. But the door's unlocked.
Fair warning, though. I'm in an endless battle with the AIs I use to build this place, trying to verify everything and make sure every link leads where it's supposed to. So please, take everything here with a grain of salt. If you find something that seems wrong, out there, or just plain crazy, send me an email and I'll take a look. Sometimes I am crazy and out there, but most of that isn't on here…
There's no money in any of this and there never will be. No tips, no ads, no sponsors, no tracking. Email is the only way to reach me:
This is not therapy. Not clinical advice. Just spilled thoughts behind glass.
